Ruxley’s first acquisition, from AGF, was City General Insurance Company Limited. City General’s portfolio contained a high proportion of direct commercial US APH. This was followed by transfers of business from Prudential and Pearl (now Phoenix) and the acquisition of Aviation & General Insurance Company Limited from AXA, Aviva, RSA, Prudential and Pearl.
Other transactions include the acquisition of the London branch of Swiss Union from Generali.
A common feature of all these transactions was the high proportion of US APH.
